After rifling through my recipes,searching the Net, and catching up on some cooking shows I drew up a rather large grocery list and set off to the store. As part of my strategy to get myself back into shape, both mentally and physically, I've put more emphasis on cooking. I've always loved to experiment in the kitchen, but lately it seemed as if I was merely trying to keep up with putting food on the table and not really putting much creative thought into the process. This week I have three new recipes on the board, along with a few other items I've tried before. Not only do I find a bit of satisfaction in putting out some delicious and (at least somewhat) healthy food in front of my family, but it's a nice little boost to my self confidence and can be fun if I'm not rushing around too much!
p.s. I managed to get most of the garage cleaned out while the little one was napping, though I hear her waking up now and my Good Eats blog will just have to wait until this evening for an update.
